We’ll be projecting the locally broadcast NFL games, and will have tables and chairs for you to sit back and relax with the Journey family.  If you have a favorite yard game (cornhole, etc.), BRING IT…we’re anticipating a perfect fall day!

Dennis Jernigan has answered the call to the Body of Christ. His desire is to lead others into a deeper understanding of God’s love for them, and show how to nurture and maintain an intimate relationship with the Father by the power of the Holy Spirit through the salvation of Jesus Christ. Customers streamed through the doors… some with expectant smiles, looking for a familiar face… others with bewildered stares, as if wondering what they were witnessing.  On the left the Phipp’s shared a family meal, as Mary carried two hot chocolates from the counter, weaving her way through crowded groups of friends just catching up on life.

In a season that is often filled with frenetic busyness, this Journey event was an opportunity to hit the pause button long enough to just hang out with friends.  Much thanks to Felix & Kathy Webber who entertained us with their stellar musical talents.  Thanks to the Panera Mill Run staff who opened up the doors to us and provided the typical Panera experience.

You see at Journey we really believe that relationships matter, so we intentionally create environments where relationships can grow.  We believe that the church is not a place but rather a people, so we put a high value on people getting together regularly to share life.  And what better way to taste church, than at your local Panera.   Stay tuned for your next chance to get in on the fun.

He’ll be working directly with K-4 year old kids, a space that has been void for the past year.  And we are excited!!  He loves kids (so much that he has 2), and more importantly he loves teaching them about Jesus and the Bible.  He’s not just clowning around, when he says that he’s had some experience.

Pictured here are the members of the Journey Church Leadership Team and their wives as we laid hands on and prayed for Carlo & Jen during last Sunday’s service.  Please pray for them as they transition to a new church and a new ministry.  We are not just excited by what they can do for us, but we are excited about what God might do in our midst as they share life with us.   So bring your young’ uns on Sunday… maybe even offer to pitch in and help…  But don’t be surprised if by the end of your time with Carlo, he has you wearing a red rubber nose.  (You’ll have to ask Carlo)

What’s your favorite breakfast food? Cinnamon Coffee Cake? Fruit & Bagels? Bacon & Eggs? Cheerios? Leftover Pizza? (just kidding) This Sunday, October 19, you’re invited to bring your favorite breakfast food to share with your friends at journey. It will be a chance to enjoy a little more time for fellowship as we meet to begin our fall teaching series from the book of Acts – Back 2 the Basics: A Church “Made from Scratch.” The Book of Acts is a record of the beginning of the church and its expansion to the “uttermost parts of the earth.” The early church shared life together, and one thing that included was food! How good is that! What a great way to kick off this series. See you Sunday.

Come join us on Sunday, August 31at 4 p.m. for an evening of food, fun & frivolity! Games and activities for kids and adults, along with a lot of food, ensures a good time for all who come out. There will also be music and a time of sharing of what God is doing in our lives.

We will meet at Vic & Cindy Fisher’s, 12337 Watkins California Rd., Marysville, OH (we will eat at 4:30 p.m.) Please bring 2 sides of your choice (dessert, salad, etc.) and a chair or blanket to sit on. You may also choose to bring a small table.

What will be provided? A lot of pork, sauces, buns, plates, napkins, eating utensils and beverages.

There will also be a bounce house and a water slide for kids so bring your towels and bathing suits.
